This applies to shoes or other items that are returned and accepted, but not exchanged, for a full refund. You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping.
There will be a $10 restocking fee that will be deducted from your refunded fees. Exchanges for a different size are exempt from the restocking fee.
HOW TO RETURN
To return your product, please email email@example.com to initiate the return.
We understand that returns are not fun, so we work as hard as we can to process your return ASAP. This can typically mean 1-2 business days. In order to expedite the return, please include photos with your email describing the issues you are experiencing.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods (including used socks, insoles undergarments, etc.), hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.
Insoles & insole sheets: once insoles have been cut/trimmed or worn, we can no longer accept a return, but we may authorize replacements if a defect occurs within the warranty period.

To complete your return, we will require the order number for the sale and proof of the purchase.
For Accessories and other products, please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

Book with obvious signs of use
CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

We exchange sizes or damaged/defective goods for FREE. only replace items.
If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at email@example.com.
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.
Our Shipping Timeline
- We ship items out as soon as possible, Monday - Friday.
- Orders placed before 6:00 AM EST will typically ship that same day, if not, we will notify you in advance.
- Orders placed after the 6:00 AM EST cutoff will be processed the following business day.
- Orders placed after 6:00 AM EST on Fridays will ship out on Monday.
- Business days are defined as "Monday-Friday" and do not include US Federal Holidays or weekends.
- Security Review (SR): We reserve the right to hold any order for a security review. If your order is affected, you will be notified within two business days.

Fit and sizing is one of those things where we all have a personal preference, some like their shoes tight while others don’t like their feet to be choked.
After years of speaking with customers, we have found some useful sizing guidelines which we hope will help nearly everyone find the perfect fit.
When shopping on our website, you will always find a sizing recommendation in the description.
TRUE TO SIZE
Order your size as measured on The Brannock Device (see below).
This means most will find a perfect fit with their size as measured on The Brannock Device. When new, our True-to-Size footwear should fit slightly snug, but will break-in after a few wears.
HALF SIZE DOWN
Order ½ size smaller than your size as measured on The Brannock Device.
Footwear that will fit best when sized ½ size smaller than your size as measured on The Brannock Device. Half-Down footwear should fit snugly when new, but will stretch and conform to your foot with wear.
FULL SIZE DOWNOrder 1 full size smaller than your size as measured on The Brannock Device.
It’s critical that some slip-on loafers fit extremely snug when new, since there are no laces to further secure them once the leather stretches—and it will stretch considerably. This is why we strongly recommend you order 1 full size smaller than your size as measured on The Brannock Device. This is especially true for those who wear loafers with thin or no socks.
The Brannock Device®
Designed in 1927, The Brannock Device is a standardized way of measuring your shoe size and once you know your Brannock Size, ordering shoes online will be much easier than trying to compare brands for sizing. We strongly recommend getting sized on The Brannock Device when determining your true size. Nearly every reputable shoe shop, and many cobblers, will have The Brannock Device on-hand if you’d like to get measured. Some customers have inquired about buying The Brannock Device online, but it really is best to be measured by someone familiar with its proper operation.
The type of last used determines the aesthetic and ultimately the fit of a particular style.
We use a variety of lasts for different styles of shoes, including those we developed specifically for our collection and a few time-honored American classics.

I started Kicks For Gents back in 2017 to fix a problem I was having.
You see, after years of wearing sneakers, I found myself in an office wearing hard leather shoes, loafers, and boots. If you haven't tried it already, putting insoles into leather shoes just doesn't work. They won't fit. The real estate inside of a leather shoe is more valuable than in Manhattan or Los Angeles. Unfortunately, orthopedic shoes that allow for larger insoles can be very expensive, disposable, and look a little funny.
In the pursuit to find a pair of comfortable leather shoes, I was not willing to give up style for comfort. The more I searched, the more money I spent on what were either shoes that were comfortable but frumpy or gorgeous but hard. Traditional store-bought insoles were too big for almost all of the shoes and they just don't fit in leather shoes.
Kicks For Gents® shoes are made on special lasts designed to be able to accommodate quality insoles without looking like traditional orthopedic shoes. We accomplish this by leveraging the insights and experience of an amazing team of Pedorthists, Orthotists, and Prosthetists, including Bio-Medical and Manufacturing Engineers in developing our insoles. The result is a collection of insoles that are as comfortable as their thicker store-bought counterparts, but much thinner, longer-lasting, and outperforms traditional foams or cork.

Why Limited Inventory?
Manufacturing shoes in small batches reduces the waste, energy and fuel consumed when overproducing shoes that might just sit on a shelf, go to a discount outlet or, worse, be destroyed.
Limited inventory allows us to keep overhead minimal. We ship from a small office and can adapt more quickly to bring you what you want.
Quality over quantity, it's that simple. Small batch manufacturing allows us to adapt more quickly to customer demand. Whether it be adapting to changes in shoe innovation, design, or materials, we are constantly testing the waters.
Leather is just like skin. Without moisturizer, it can dry up and even crack. Since our shoes are handcrafted at the time a customer places an order, this ensures that the leather isn't sitting around getting dry in a warehouse or on a shelf.
